Pandurang M. Kulkarni, Ph.D.

Vice President – Global Data Science and LRL Development, GBS Centers Eli Lilly and Company


Dr. Pandu Kulkarni is the VP for the Global Data Science & LRL development and GBS centers, leading a global organization of 700+ employees. His organization partners with project statisticians, analytics and data experts, project managers, working in the full pharmaceutical research cycle, from discovery and scientific communications to medical clinical development and commercialization for all therapeutic areas. He joined Eli Lilly in 2000 and has held numerous leadership positions including technical and management positions within and outside of Statistics and has championed multiple transformative initiatives. He has given numerous invited presentations across the globe to provide training, Continuing Medical Education, and workshops on the use of statistics in medical research. He has published more than 50 articles in statistics and medical areas in peer reviewed journals. He is also an ASA Fellow with many mentoring relationships throughout the industry.


He obtained his Ph.D. in Statistics at the LaTrobe University, Melbourne, Australia.
